CULBERTSON FAMILY | LUCKY PEAK

I had so much fun getting to know this sweet family! We drove out to Lucky Peak for their session - which was well worth it for those background views. I had this location in mind and when I shared that idea with Whitney she told me it was where her and her husband Eric had met for the first time! So the location was not only beautiful but it holds a special place in their hearts. It was awesome to come out here for their family photos and create more amazing memories for them here at Lucky Peak together.

2016 IN REVIEW

Over the last few weeks I’ve been reflecting on this last year for Amanda Cherie Photography. Its been really fun looking back on all the amazing clients I got to photograph this year! Starting the year off working for myself was pretty amazing. For the first time I was my own boss - I wouldn’t change one little thing about that! I’ve learned so much and gained so much experience on my own. One of my goals was to really push myself and try some new things with my photography. As I look back I think I accomplished that goal. Shooting in different lighting is an example of how I pushed my work. With this I found out how much I loved shooting in a lower light than I typically have in the past. It gave my photos a new feel, a new type of mood that was really fun to play around with. Another focus was to push myself by shooting in some interesting locations, like the Western Idaho Fair. I had two very successful shoots at the fair this summer. Every single image came out better than I could have ever imagined. I’m super proud of myself for really focusing on every shoot individually and making them all unique; filled with happy, fun and creative individuals - as well as big trucks, Volkswagen buses and rad skateboards too! For my Winter / Christmas Mini-sessions this year I booked THREE TIMES as many as last year! I had 11 wonderful families / couples that I got to meet and take photos of for the holidays. Overall I’ve truly been blessed this year by all of you and I am very thankful for that. I love my job!!!

It was VERY hard to narrow down my top 5 or even 10 photos from this year. But here is a good 19 images that I feel really help to illustrate what another year with ACP was like. I am so grateful for my friends and family who relentlessly support my passion for photography (and design) on a day-to-day basis. Also, for my clients who trusted me to photograph themselves, their kids, families and weddings. I’m absolutely stoked to see how my business will grow and expand in another year! Here’s to pushing myself to work even harder, and make 2017 better than ever!
